Documentary Family Session
The session will take place in your home, the center of your family life. Scattered toys and spilled dog food on the floor, piles of laundry on the couch, scratches on the walls - so much life and love under your roof.
The beauty of documentary family photography session is that it’s stress-free and you get tangible memories of your everyday life. You don’t need to worry about what to wear - you wear what you’d normally wear on any given day. You don’t need to stress about how the kids will behave or are they going to smile - frowns, tantrums, big teary eyes, I’ve seen it all. Let the kids be kids. And if you worry about your house not being spotless, please don’t. Because toothpaste marks in the sink or few dust balls under your couch is not going to make or break a photograph. Trust me. There really is beauty and oh, so much life, in the mess!
Think of it as a regular day, you and your family doing your thing. You don’t need to plan on doing specific activities, unless it’s a special moment in time and or tradition you want to be captured (grandparents visiting, those famous Saturday pancakes by dad, and so on). The goal is to document real life, where you are in your life right now, in this season of life. I won’t put you into poses, you can really just chill and go on about your day.

Documentary Newborn Session
The session will take place in your home, filled with newborn snuggles and all the firsts. We’ll capture all the tiny details of the new family member, giving time for feedings and diaper changes. You can relax and focus on taking care of the tiny miracle, while I capture the magic moments. We’ll take some natural portraits as well as document the life of the newcomer with the family.
What to expect
After you reach out (contact me HERE), we’ll chat more about you/your family via phone, email or over a cup of coffee/tea. We use this time to get to know one another a little bit and covering any questions, expectations, etc. you may have. When you’re ready to book, a non-refundable $150 session retainer is required at the time of booking to secure your session date(s). The retainer will go against your session fee.
On the day of the scheduled session I’ll come and hang out with you and your family at your home or a location of your choice and we’ll create some magic together. 2-3 weeks after your session I’ll send you the link to your private online gallery with carefully selected and artist edited photos. Digital files and professionally printed gallery quality prints plus photo albums are available for you to order through your gallery. No minimum spend required.
Please note that I shoot at locations up to 1 hour from Northlake, TX. For locations further away, an additional fee is required to cover extra travel and time.
